Maureen F. (McRae) Rosa, age 52, passed away on May 2 surrounded by her devoted family. She was the daughter of the late Robert Emmett McRae and Anne Frances (Greene). Maureen was born and educated in Weymouth.
Maureen is survived by her husband of almost 25 years, Armando Rosa, and her 2 daughters, Laura and Christine. She is also survived by her sisters, Karen Vinciguerra, and her husband Thomas of Weymouth; Kathleen DuBois and her husband James, and their children, Robert and Jacqueline; and her late sister, Debra Ryan, and her daughter, Frances, of Duxbury. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Laurinda Rosa of Plymouth as well as other sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Maureen was a graduate of Weymouth South High School and Katharine Gibbs School of Boston where she focused on business practices. Maureen spent her professional career primarily within the legal arena and the Plymouth School System.
Maureen made her home in Weymouth and Plymouth where she raised her family. Maureen enjoyed the company of friends and counted the bond of lifelong friendships as a blessing. She loved her family and was devoted to her children. She was extremely proud of the accomplished young adults they have become.
A funeral service will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St., (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth, Monday May 7 at 8 A.M. followed by Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church, 261 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth at 9 A.M. Visiting hours will be Sunday 3 P.M. to 7 P.M.
