Richard Lee “Ricky” Armijo, 55, of Tifton died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Father Alonzo Guiterrez will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. His nephews, Jaren Armijo, Arturo Chavez Jr., Armando Chavez, Joe Falcon, Richard Falcon. Hector Chavez, Rodolfo Chavez Jr., Moises Chavez, George Cirilo, Derrick Finch, Ignacio Falcon Jr. and David Avalos Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Armijo was born on September 6, 1956 in Alamosa, Colorado and was the son of Gabriel Armijo and Rose Vigil Armijo, both deceased. He was a painter with Cirilo Painting Company and enjoyed his family and friends. He lived a great life and had lived in Tifton for 30 years.
Mr. Armijo is survived by his wife, Mary Linda Armijo of Atlanta; one brother and sister-in-law, Xavier and Ester Armijo of Tifton; ten sisters and five brothers-in-law, Gloria and Ignacio Falcon of Tifton, Jean Armijo of Walla Walla, Washington, Jane Lopez of Walla Walla, Washington, Arla Hernandez of Phoenix, Arizona, Olga and Ronnie Finch of Stateboro, Peggy Eidson of Tifton, Ernestine and Rodolfo Chavez of Tifton, Christine Chaparro of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Annette and Robert Cox of Fitzgerald and Juanita and Arturo Chavez of Tifton; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
