CHICOPEE – Suzanne L. “Sue” (Rivard) Frenette, 72, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, April 30, 2012. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on November 25, 1939, a beloved daughter of the late Roland and Susan (Caulin) Rivard. She was raised in the Aldenville section of Chicopee, graduated in 1957 from Chicopee High School and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, William V. “Bill” Frenette, who was Called Home on August 25, 2005. They were married on August 1, 1959 at the former Saint Mary of the Assumption Church in Willimansett and were blessed with over 46 years of happiness together. She leaves: her loving children, Suzanne M. Cecchetelli of Holyoke and William V. Frenette, Jr. of Northampton; her four cherished grandchildren, Gina and Alyssa Cecchetelli and Rachael and Jillian Frenette; her dear brother, John Rivard, and his wife, Susan, of Chicopee; her dear sister, Pat Bono and her husband, Rick, of Hilton Head, SC; and her dear nephew and niece, Rick Bono and Sue Rivard. Her funeral will be held on Monday morning, May 7, 2012, beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:15 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Committal Service will follow the Mass at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
