Umberto Iantosca, 85 Medford formerly of the North End of Boston died Friday unexpectedly at home.
Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Angelo and Maria (Barbra) Iantosca.
Umberto retired in 1972 as a Meat Paker, employed by the former Boston Sausage Company after 7 years.
Umberto Iantosca was the beloved husband of the Immacolata (Zirpolo). Devoted father of Angelo Iantosca and his wife Maria of Medford, Maria Romano and her husband Gianni of Switzerland, Dora Giordini and her husband Giacomo of Arlington, Consolata Celiberti and her husband Salvatore of Winchester, Consiglia Puleo and her husband Pasquale of Watertown, Erminia Russo and her husband Alfredo of Ft. Myers, FLAntonio Iantosca and Pasquale Iantosca both of Medford. Also survived by 14 loving grandchildren and 10 lovign great grandchildren. Brother of Angela Pagliuca of Canada.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 9 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden the Rev. Richard Mehm officiating. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
Friends may visit Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
