Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, April 30, 2012, Mr. Larkin M. Holmes, age 68.
Mr. Holmes was a native Augustan but lived and worked throughout the Southeast before returning to Augusta. He was a basketball manager/trainer while attending Aquinas, Class of 62, Augusta College, Class of 64 and UGA, Class of 66. He was a member of the Irish American Heritage Society, Knights of Columbus, Patrick Walsh Council and the Ancient Order of Hibernians and parishioner of St. Mary on the Hill.
Family members include daughter: Amanda Holmes; sisters: Margaret H. Kasper (Paul), and Jane H. Cason (Chuck); brother: Edward J. Holmes; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Holmes was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Margaret Holmes and brother: Henry Holmes.
A memorial Mass will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012 at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Gerald Ragan celebrant. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park
