Mary D. McDonough, 83, of Milford, NH died Wednesday April 21, 2004 in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH. Mrs. McDonough was born in Dorchester, MA on February 5, 1921, a daughter of the late James and Mary (Godfrey) Bonfanti. She had been a resident of Milford since 2001, formerly living in Hudson, NH. She served in the WAVES during WWII. She was employed as a service representative for NE Telephone in Boston, MA until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, music and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Martin J. McDonough of Milford, three sons, Kevin McDonough of Merrimack, NH, Brian McDonough of Manchester, NH, Edward McDonough of Milford, three daughters, Patricia Buckland of Keene, NH, Carol McDonough of Milford, Ann Marie Kelly of Rindge, NH, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister, Louise Christophersen of Auburn, NH, one brother, Ralph Bonfanti of Quincy, MA, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph McDonough in 1973.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday April 24th at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Bedford, NH. Friends may call on Friday from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry.
