Gordon Fleming Waters, age 64, of Nicholls, GA passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012, at home following an extended illness. Mr. Waters was born on June 15, 1947, in Millwood, GA to the late Arley Mitchell Waters and Telma Lee Davis Waters.
Mr. Waters is survived by: two sons, Mutt (Mona) Waters and Jeff Waters, both of Nicholls, GA; three daughters, Teresa (Kenny) Hersey, of Douglas, GA, Faye (Danny) Durrance, and Michelle (Preston) Gibson, both of Nicholls, GA; one brother, Arley (Rhonda) Waters, of Nicholls, GA.; four sisters, Marie Thomas, of Nicholls, GA, Lorine (Grady) Snipes, of Nicholls, GA, Lou Chauncey, of West Green, GA and Joyce (Carlos) Burch, of Ambrose, GA.; seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Doris Waters and a grandson Patrick Hersey.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 6-9 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 4 :00 p.m. at Nicholls Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Campbell and Rev. Mike Brown officiating. Interment followed at Telmore Church Cemetery in Ware County.
