Obituary

Pauline D. Kittery, 95, of Deerfield, NH died Saturday April 28, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Kittery was born in Malden, MA on March 24, 1917, a daughter of the late John and Mollie (Coons) Julian. She had been a resident of Deerfield for the past 11 years, formerly living in Manchester and Derry, NH. She was considered an amateur opera singer continuing to sing into her mid-eighties. Pauline loved to be around children and had adopted and raised one her daughters. She had a fondness for birds and enjoyed all animals.
She is survived by her two daughters, Thelma J. Kittery of Deerfield, and Marguerite Colby of Manchester, one son, David W. Kittery and his wife Diana of Derry, five grandchildren, four great-grandchidren, one great great-grandchild, and one brother, John Julian of Seattle, WA. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her husband, William F. Kittery in 1972.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday May 2, 2012 from 9 – 10:30am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services followed at 10:30 am in the funeral home. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. At Pauline’s request, memorial donations may be made to the Dana Farber-Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
