Mrs. Barbara M. (Morey) White, beloved wife of the late Edwin B. White, died at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody on Thursday morning, April 26, 2012. She was 83 years old.
Born in Medford on March 29, 1929, she was the beloved daughter of the late Douglas W. and Hazel (Davis) Morey. Mrs. White worked as an Elementary School Teacher at the Hillside School, Gleason School and the Dame School in Medford for more than 33 years. She had been an active member of the Medford Women’s Club for many years. She was also a lifelong member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Medford.
She will be sorely missed by her loving daughters; Jane B. and her husband James Wilson of Rowley and Laura D. White of New York, NY and grandson’s; Benjamin and Matthew Wilson. She was also the devoted sister of the late Douglas Morey, Jr.
Her funeral service was celebrated in the Grace Episcopal Church, 160 High St., Medford, Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Tuesday, May 1, 2012, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
