Robert T. Grimley, 79, of Fairhaven died April 20, 2004 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late John and Mary (Hamilton) Grimley, he had lived in Fairhaven most of his life.
Mr. Grimley was formerly employed as a bartender at the Harborside Lounge for many years until his retirement.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was the recipient of American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal.
Survivors include his gal, Edna Bury of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Arthur Grimley of New Bedford and William Grimley of California; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Paul Grimley, Harry Grimley, Raymond Grimley, Leonard Grimley and Rita DeLacour.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, Saturday, April 24th at 9:30 AM.
Visiting hours Friday, April 23rd from 4-7 PM.
Interment Pine Grove Cemetery.
