Marjorie H. (Hathaway) Magellan, 75, of Fairhaven died April 19, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Henry D. Magellan, and daughter of the late Martin and Hazel (Carr) Hathaway.
Mrs. Magellan was born in New Bedford and had lived in Dartmouth and New Bedford for most of her life before moving to Fairhaven last year.
She was formerly employed as a private duty companion for many years.
Mrs. Magellan was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Thomas E. Tuttle Post 7239 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was an avid collector of antique furniture and loved to refurbish old furniture.
Survivors include 2 sons, James H. Magellan, and his wife Theresa, of Fall River and Robert Magellan, and his wife Patricia, of Dartmouth; a daughter Margaret Puscizna, and her husband Michael, of Dartmouth; 2 brothers, Fred Hathaway and his wife Brenda of New Milford, Conn., and Donald Hathaway of Danbury, Conn.; a sister, Muriel Wolfgang of Fairhaven; 5 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Doris Watson, Eleanor Pitts and Martin Hathaway, Jr.
Her Funeral Service was private.
