Julie (Gagnon) Zwicker (47) a resident of Danvers passed away peacefully, after a courageous 9-year battle with Cancer on April 25 2012. She was surrounded by her family, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the beloved wife of James N. Zwicker with whom she shared 15 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn on March 5, 1965, she was the daughter of the late James and Carol (Griffin) Gagnon. She was a graduate of Masconomet High School and Massachusetts College of Art. Julie was a substitute teacher in the Danvers School System.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving son Griffin, a brother James Gagnon of Danvers and a sister Susan Slatton of Marlborough, her mother and father-in-law Dorothy and Paul Zwicker of Danvers, many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Her exceptional and radiant spirit is an inspiration to all that she has touched. “When a flame is extinguished, let us not forget how brightly it burned. We lost a truly amazing, creative, beautiful, loving, humble, caring woman yesterday. There’s a void in the world and our hearts that will always sting but we can fill with love and happy memories of a life truly lived and loved. RIP Julie.”
A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Visitation hours will be Monday from 4-8PM in the funeral home.
