William J. “Bill” Lynch, Jr., of Medford formerly of Mission Hill died peacefully at Boston Medical Center on April 26th. He was 78.
Born and raised in Mission Hill, Bill was the son of the late William and Mary Esther (Wrenn) Lynch. A graduate of Mission High, Bill worked most of his life with of Hinds and Coon Co. of South Boston, eventually becoming Office Manager of the firm. Bill enjoyed the theater, particularly musical productions. He especially enjoyed the company of his family and many dear friends taking great delight following the accomplishments of his many nieces, nephews and their children.
He leaves his beloved husband and partner of 41 years, Robert P. Gallagher of Medford. He was a loving brother of Doris Berchtold of Marshfield, Patricia Lynch of Stoneham and the late Robert Lynch, Barbara McKenna and Rosie DeCoux. He was a dear brother-in-law of Joan Gallagher of Arlington and also leaves many devoted nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, April 28th from 4 through 8 PM. A private burial will be held at a later date.
