Obituary

AGAWAM – Walthera “Wally” (Trempert) Westervelt, 98, of Agawam was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. She passed into Eternal Life at Heritage Hall East in Agawam surrounded by her family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born in Bremen, Germany on August 24, 1913, a daughter of the late Walter and Meta (Mehl) Trempert. She lived in Albany, New York for many years and later moved to Windsor Locks, Connecticut. She had been a resident of Heritage Hall East in Agawam since 2004. For 35 years she owned and operated Wilson’s Restaurant in Albany, New York. She was predeceased by her husbands, Wilson Rutherford and Arthur L. Westervelt, who was Called Home on February 10, 2001. She leaves: her step-son, Arthur E. Westervelt and his wife, Elizabeth, of Willow Glenn, NY; her step-daughter, Gaile E. Sataline and her husband, William, of Windsor Locks, CT; several step-grandchildren; and several step-great grandchildren. Her burial will be private at the convenience of her family. St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107 is assisting her family.
