Obituary

Tallahassee, FL – Roger A. Lemieux, 81, formerly of Lawrence and Methuen, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, FL. He was the loving husband of the late Geraldine M. (Walsh) Lemieux.

Born in Methuen, Roger was the son of Alcide and Blanche (Gosselin) Lemieux. He attended St. Theresa’s Grammar School and Central Catholic High School. During the Korean War, he served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a service manager for Baron’s TV in Lawrence and then as a shipper/receiver for J.H. Horne & Sons in Lawrence for several years until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen. He belonged to the Lawrence Elks BPOE #65 and Haverhill Post #4 American Legion. In his free time, he loved to travel and take cruises.

Roger is survived by a daughter Doreen Lemieux and her boyfriend Yves Gauvin of Lawrence; two sons Kevin Lemieux and his wife Anna of Danville, NH; Gary Lemieux and his wife Nancy of Danville, NH and long-time companion Kathleen Wulforst of Quincy, FL; three sisters Lorraine Dimmock and her husband Edward of Methuen, Therese Farley and her husband Daniel of Amherst, NH, and Joanne Crochetiere of Methuen; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Marcelle Lemieux.

Following cremation, a funeral service will take place on Monday morning, April 30th, at 11 o’clock at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.

Family and Friends will be warmly received on Sunday, April 29th, from 2:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.
