Obituary

Harold “Doc” Wenger, M.D., 61, passed away Wednesday April 25, 2012 at his home in Wellesley, MA.

Harold was born in Germany on December 12, 1950, and came to the United States with his parents Fay and Jack Wenger, refugees of the Holocaust. Harold was a graduate of Rutgers University and Cornell Medical School where he received his medical degree. Harold completed his medical residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, IL and his surgical residency at Boston Medical Center. In 1984, Harold founded Baystate Medical and Surgical, an independent physician staffing company in Massachusetts. Aside from medicine, Harold was a “Jack of all trades”, best known for his sharp tongue, big heart, and unique sense of fashion.

Harold leaves his wife, Katherine Wenger of Wayland, MA; daughter Julia Wenger of Framingham, MA; son, Alexander Wenger of Northampton, MA; and sister, Sylvia Rogowski, of Merrick, NY.

The Wenger family will receive visitors in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) Natick, MA on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 1-4 PM. Burial will be private in Beit Olam - East Cemetery, Wayland, MA.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made by check payable to Eastern Middlesex Alcoholism Services, c/o Tim McCarthy, 12 Cedar St. Malden, MA 02148.
