Leo W. Archambault, Jr., 73, of Derry, NH formerly of Sandown, died peacefully at his residence Monday April 23, 2012. He was born September 1, 1938, in Haverhill, MA, and was a son of the late Leo W., Sr., and Cora (Fournier) Archambault. Leo was raised and educated in Haverhill, and was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School. Mr. Archambault was a longtime resident of Danville, and also resided in Sandown, prior to moving to Derry in 1995.
He was employed as a machinist for many years by Braley & Walker of Haverhill, MA. He enjoyed bowling, and was a longtime volunteer at Parkland Medical Center. Leo was an active member of the Easter Seals Adult Daycare program in Manchester, after suffering a stroke in 1994.
Members of the family include his wife of 41 years, Marie (Mayer) Archambault, of Derry, 6 children, Lynn Pagliaro of Waterville, ME, Leo W. Archambault, III, of Auburn, NH, Allen Archambault, of Jackson, MS, Donald Archambault of Newmarket, Ann-Marie Frederickson of Derry, and Millie Havenstein of Bedford, 16 grandchildren, Bonnie, Philip, Kimberly, Kevin, Keith, Robyn, Rachel, Ryan, Lindsey, Riley, Tiffany, Tamara, David, Aaron, Kirsten, Kayla, Tylor and Ashley, and 3 great grandchildren, Gabriel, Angel and Lily.
After cremation, calling hours were held Friday April 27th, from 8:30 to 10:30 am, at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St. Derry. A Memorial Mass followed at 11 am, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Crystal Ave. in Derry.
