Carol (Wright) Harrington, age 91, passed away at her home on Monday April 23, 2012. Carol was the wife of the late George W. Harrington and is survived by her son, Russell Harrington of Pembroke, her daughter, Gail Hickson-Brown of Hanson and her 6 grandchildren; Leigh Wood, R. Todd Harrington, Gregory Hickson, Matthew Hickson, Jason Harrington and Melissa Harrington. She also leaves 9 great grandchildren. Carol is predeceased by her son, Kenneth Harrington.
She was born in Boston, lived most of her life in South Weymouth and graduated from New England Baptist School of Nursing. Carol was a Chaplain’s Aid and Volunteer at the South Shore Hospital from 1956 to 2010. She was a member of the Old South Union Congregational Church and the Founder of the Church’s Spring Luncheons.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Old South Union Congregational Church, 25 Columbian St. S. Weymouth on Saturday April 28 at 1:30 P.M. Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday from 4 to 8 P.M.
