GLOUCESTER: D. Scott Noble, 50, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning, April 22, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Maria (O’Brien) Noble. They had shared fifteen years of marriage.
Born in Gloucester on November 30, 1961, he was the son of Virginia R. (Cheek) Noble and the late, Jerome “Jerry” Noble, Jr. He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and a graduate of the Gloucester High School class of 1980.
A master electrician, he began working in the family business, Jerry Noble Electricians, and later formed his own business, D. Scott Noble Electrician.
He was a member and former president of the BNI Yankee Network Chapter. Scott took tremendous pride in the City of Gloucester. As an active community volunteer, he enjoyed working on many projects such as hanging Christmas lights on Main Street, working at the Magnolia Historical Association and the Gloucester Seafood Festival. He had also been a volunteer fireman for the Town of Rockport.
Due to Scott’s love of Gloucester, Maria had to convince him to travel over the bridge. Once he did, they enjoyed many wonderful trips and cruises together. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by five children; Kandice, wife of Joshua Tebou, Lucas, husband of Jessica (Field) Noble, Kaleena, wife of Corey Hildonen, Amber Noble, companion of Jonathan Kasper and David Scott “Scotty Boy” Noble, Jr., companion of Lauren McKechnie; three grandchildren, Noah and Isaac Tebou and Olivia Noble; six siblings, Linda, wife of Sterling Abram, Sandra Perry, Geraldine, wife of Tom Cronin, Stephen, husband of Dee (Erwin) Noble, Chris, husband of Cathy (McQuarrie) Noble, and Timothy Noble, companion of Vicki Briggs; many nieces and nephews and his cousin, Glen and his wife, MaryHelen MacLeod. He is also survived by his former spouse, Patty (Frontiero)Watson and her husband, Jeff Watson; their daughter, Mollie Watson and among many longtime friends, Ed Wall and Barry Ramos. He was also predeceased by his brother-in-law, Dana Perry.
“We say good-bye much too soon to a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who always had a smile for everybody. We will miss his unique sense of humor and his ability to always show others the bright side of a dark cloud. He had a way of making us all feel like the most important person in the world and we will be forever grateful. We know you’re looking down on us and though you don’t want us to be sad, our hearts are broken until we see you again.”
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday morning at the Gloucester Lodge of Elks on Atlantic Avenue at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 4 – 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the D. Scott Noble Scholarship Fund being established in his name at Eastern Bank, 81 Bridge Street, Beverly, MA 01915. This scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in the Electrical Program at Gloucester High School.
