Mary T. Lappin
...active at the Billerica Irish American Club
Billerica - Mary T. (Donnelly) Lappin, an active member of the Billerica Irish-American community, died unexpectedly on Monday morning, April 23, at Lahey Clinic after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife and constant companion of the late Patrick J. Lappin, who died in August 2009.
Mary was born in Boston, one of four children of the late Thomas and Catherine (Gallagher) Donnelly. She was raised in West Roxbury and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinis High School in Jamaica Plain. She went on to attend the Hitchcock Business School in Boston.
While she devoted her life to her husband and raising her family, she also worked as the manager of the Billerica Irish American Club for more than five years. She, along with her husband was a co-founder of the Billerica Irish American Club, as well as an active participant and volunteer for many community organizations. She was also a communicant of St. Dorothy's Church in Wilmington.
She is survived by four children, Patrick J. Lappin Jr., Mary Lappin, James Lappin and Martin J. Lappin; her sisters, Genevieve Donnelly, Eileen Daly and her husband Michael; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late John Donnelly.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, April 27, in St. Dorothy's Church, Wilmington. Burial followed at Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. Memorials to the Michael J.
