Obituary

On Saturday, April 21, 2012 Mae Nail Lindsey went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband, Doyle Lindsey. She was born December 22, 1926 in Duck Hill, MS to the late Joseph Eugene and Minnie Savilla Lott Nail. Mae retired as a seamstress for Big Yank Corporation in Water Valley, MS after 39 years of service. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and tending her flower and vegetable gardens. Mae loved children and always made herself available to anyone who needed her. She was a devoted member of First Christian Church of Water Valley, MS.

Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. The funeral service will begin immediately following the visitation at 11:30 AM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. David Freeman officiating. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery with Jerry Holt, Billy Wilburn, Edward Scanlon, Lee Eubanks, Bobby Cox and Bilbo Samuels serving as pallbearers. Donnie Guest and Jerry Hill will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mae is survived by a daughter, Eleanor Nelson Allen (Tommy) of Huntsville, AL; a son, “Rocky” Doyle Lindsey (Vickie) of Mountain Home, AR; a special niece, Betty Potts of Water Valley, MS; two brothers, James Ray Nail of Battle Creek, MI and Lawrence Eugene Nail of Gainesville, VA; seven grandchildren, Suzanne Bandelin, Julie Ann Bagdonas, Billy Lindsey, Robert Earl Allen, William Keith Allen, Tommy Wade Allen and Brian Allen; and twelve great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Franklin Lindsey in 1958; three sisters, Hester Lee Jones, Fannie Belle Harville, and Jimmie Lou Holland; and four brothers, Edward Lafayette Nail, Cecil Fred Nail, William Nail and Miller Nail.
