Geraldine Agnes (Cunningham) Hagar, 86, of Weymouth, died April 20th surrounded by her loving family. Gerry was born in Newton to Agnes and Atwood Cunningham. Devoted wife for 58 years to her beloved late husband, Justin. Loving mother of Ronald of Lebanon,NH, Kenneth (& Jeanne) of Mansfield, Douglas (& Linda) of Weymouth, Susan (& James) Dresser of Hingham, and Janice (& David) Longendorfer of Mansfield. Sister of Norma (Cunningham) Brown of York Beach, Maine. Proud Grandmother of 13, Great Grandmother of 13, as well as nieces and nephews. Above all, Gerry loved spending time with her family and loved handcrafts such as knitting, crocheting and needlepoint. She was an award winning artist who enjoyed oil painting. Gerry passed on her love of crafts to her grandchildren. Many of her relatives and friends are the lucky recipients of her paintings and many of the items she so lovingly crafted.
Mrs. Hagar's wishes were that her body be donated to Tufts University School of Medicine. Memorial visitation in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant Street (Columbian Sq.)South Weymouth, will be Thursday, April 26th from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. Memorial Service at 7:30 P.M. Relatives and friends invited.
