Francis E. “Frank” Wingate 62, of Valley View Drive died Friday, April 20, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Patti J. (Leigh) Wingate. They were married forty years.
Born in Fall River, MA, a son of the late Frank and Dorothy (Carter) Wingate.
Mr. Wingate was the Superintendent for both the Glocester and Melody Hills Country Clubs. He was a 25 year member of the Friday Men’s League at Melody Hill Country Club and a member of the RI Golf Course Superintendents Association, RISGA.
He is also survived by his children, Matthew F. Wingate and his wife, Jennifer of Uxbridge, MA and Kristy L. Borges and her husband, David of Rumford, three grandchildren: Jack, Anna and Julien, and his siblings, Patricia Brunette of Lincoln, Mary E. Gustafson of Cumberland and Peter Wingate of Pawtucket.
Funeral Tuesday at 8:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visitation Monday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Jay Lawrence Foundation, P.O. Box 580, Greenville, RI 02828.
