James M. O'Keefe of Seattle, WA, formerly of West Roxbury, passed away on April 10, 2012. He was 46 years old.
Born and raised in Boston, James was a Boston sports enthusiast who especially loved the Red Sox. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with family, friends and his terrier, Tito. James owned and operated the Fremont Dock Sports Bar in Seattle, WA which was very much influenced by the Boston sports scene. He was a retired ship captain and former captain of the Spirit of Philadelphia, Spirit of Chicago and the Spirit of Puget Sound.
James was the loving son of the late Arthur and Theresa (Wilson) O’Keefe. Loving brother of Jean D’Arcy and her husband Thomas of NH, Anne Lightfoot and her husband Greg of Concord, Arthur “Jack” O’Keefe and his wife Pam of Stoneham, Susan Gay and her husband Edward of Walpole, and Eugene Joseph O’Keefe of CA. Dear uncle of Eddie, Lauren, Meaghan, Matt, Jenna and Mary. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and his dear friend Carol Ann O’Keefe DeCoster of WA.
