Paul F. Farias, 70, of Westport, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 at home with his wife at his side. He was the husband of Leone F. (Perry) Farias and they had just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on April 16, 2012.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Virginio and Palmira (Correira) Farias, Mr. Farias had lived in Westport since 1967. He was a United States Army veteran having served with the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War and prior to his retirement, Mr. Farias had worked for Same Day Surgicare of New England in Fall River.
Survivors besides his loving wife include a son: Stephen Farias and his wife Janet of South Jordan, UT; 2 brothers: Bruce Farias and his wife Debbie of North Fort Myers, FL and Philip Farias and his wife Beverly of Tiverton, RI; a sister: Patricia Vital and her husband Norm of Westport and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Farias was the brother of the late Ronald and Maurice Farias.
Funeral to which family and friends are invited will be Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Rd., Westport, MA 02790.
Calling hours will be Monday from 5-8 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
