Obituary

Mary Teresa O’Keefe, of Worcester, died Wednesday, April 18th in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She leaves, Lawrence J. Sullivan, of Worcester, a close friend for many years; several cousins in Ireland and many friends.
Miss O’Keefe was born in Worcester the daughter of David and Mary A. (McCarthy) O’Keefe. After graduating from St. Peter’s High School, Mary went to Washington to work as a clerk for the FBI. She also graduated from Worcester State College. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and was active in the choir while attending high school and was a former member of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Mary worked for New England Telephone for 42 years where she held various management and union assignments. She enjoyed reading and traveling to Ireland and through Europe.
The funeral is Saturday, April 21st from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, April 20th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter-Marian Jr./Sr. Central Catholic High School, c/o Scholarship Fund, 781 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
