Kenneth L. Kramer, 61, of New Bedford died Monday April 16, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Robert A. and Marguerite A. (Tetreault) Kramer, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Kramer was formerly employed as a history teacher at St. Anthony High School and Holy Family High School, and was later the Principal of Holy Family High School.
He was a graduate of Holy Family High School and Southeastern Massachusetts University. He was a member of the Holy Family High School championship basketball team.
He loved to talk about politics and sports, and befriended the most needy people in this area.
Survivors include five brothers, Robert Kramer Jr. and his wife Elaina of Barnstable, Michael Kramer and his wife Susan of Dartmouth, Paul Kramer of New Bedford, Steven Kramer and his wife Jeri of Phoenix, AZ, and James Kramer and his wife Therese of Uxbridge; two sisters, Carol Kramer and her husband Charles Walker of Pleasant Hill, OR, and Marguerite McQuarrie and her husband Charles of Glendale, AZ; and eight nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
