Alice (Pereira Furtado) Aguiar, age 91 of Tiverton passed away April 16, 2012. She was the widow of Francisco A. Aguiar and daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Vieira Silvia) Pereira Furtado. She had worked as a sewing machine operator at Cape Cod Mfg. She was a parishioner of Holy Ghost Church.
She was the mother of Robert Richard Aguiar of Exeter, RI and Deborah Marie Brodeur (husband Mark) of Bristol, RI; sister of Belmira Mello of Tiverton and the late Mary Osga, Joseph P. Furtado Jr., Manuel Perry and Henry P. Furtado; grandmother of Mikhela and Hillary and an aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on SATURDAY at 9:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Ghost Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours on FRIDAY 4:00-8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home & Hospice of RI, 143 Main Street, Wakefield, RI 02879.
