Olive P. Rich, 79, of River Street, Smithfield, died Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Home & Hospice Care of RI Inpatient Center.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Lydia (Dagneault) Prue. She had lived in Smithfield for the past 16 years and had previously lived in East Providence.
Mrs. Rich had worked as a billing clerk for the State of RI for the Department of Corrections and MHRH before retiring. She enjoyed being in the yard and gardening, the beach and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her children: Michael J. Rich and his wife, Colleen of Greenville, James E. Rich and his wife, Leslie of Tehachapi, CA, Deborah A. Rich of Smithfield, and Stephen A. Rich and his wife, Carol of Cumberland, three grandchildren: Christopher, Brittney and Danielle, a great grandson, Trent, and her siblings: Helen Cady of Warwick, Charles Prue of Greensboro, NC, Emily Nickerson of Newburyport, MA. She was the sister of the late Joseph and Irene Prue.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening 4-7pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Funeral is private. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
