Obituary


THOMAS F. "BUNKY" KEHOE, III, 80, a lifelong resident of Hingham, died on Saturday, April 14th, 2012 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. "Bunky" was the well known owner of Kehoe's Ship Chandlery in Hingham Harbor and also served as a Lieutenant on the Hingham Fire Department for 19 years. In addition, he served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. "Bunky" was a longtime member of the Hingham Yacht Club, a past member of the Cohasset Golf Club and was an accomplished craftsman and boatbuilder.

He leaves his wife of 42 years, Leslie A. (Henchey) Kehoe of Hingham; and was the brother of James R. Kehoe of Hingham, Richard Kehoe and John E. Kehoe both of Florida and the late Joseph F. Kehoe. Also survived by his brother-in -law, H. Laurence Henchey of Melrose and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, April 21st at 1 PM at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 172 Main St., Hingham.

Visiting hours and flowers omitted by request. In lieu of flowers, donations in "Bunky's" memory may be made to the Hingham Historical Society, P.O. Box 434, Hingham, MA 02043 or the Scituate Animal Shelter, 780 Chief Justice Cushing Highway, Scituate, MA 02066.

The interment is to be private.
