Charles "Charlie" Brown, 76, of Louisville, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at the Park Terrace Health Campus in Louisville, KY. He was a native of Mount Herman and was the owner of Charlie Brown Auto Sales in Louisville. He was a member of the Valley View Church in Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Plez and Retie Copas Brown; his brothers, Lindall "Brownie" Brown, Bill Brown, and Jerry Brown; and his sister, Mary Lou Walbert. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Maudie Irene Brown, of Louisville; his daughters, Vickie Keene (Mark) of Louisville, Lesley Shannon (John) of Shelbyville, and Karla Williams (Andrew) of Louisville; his brothers, David Brown (Cheryl) of Rockville, IN, and B. J. Brown (Betty) of Indianapolis, IN; his sisters, Suzie Carr (Stewart) of Gig Harbor, WA, and Carol Rector (Jim) of Crawfordsville, IN; his grandchildren, Jordan Charles Brown of Louisville, Rachel Shannon of Shelbyville, Summer Shannon of Shelbyville, and Molly Shannon of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Owen Funeral Home on Dixie Highway in Louisville. Visitation: 1-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial: Bethany Cemetery in Louisville.
