Moultonboro-----Cynthia Higgins Gilcreast, 70, of 65 Birch Lane, died peacefully at her home on April 10, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Gilcreast was born May 12, 1941 in Hampton, N.H., the daughter of Kirby W. and Caroline (Philbrook) Higgins. She resided in Augusta, Maine for several years before moving to Moultonboro, N.H. twenty-seven years ago.
Mrs. Gilcreast loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, shopping, traveling and craft fairs.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Richard; three sons, David and his wife, Michele, Mark and his wife, Julie, and Keith and his wife, Jenny; two daughters, Lisa Marie and Susan and her husband, Peter, and ten grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents.
There will be no calling hours.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Beane Conference Center, 35 Blueberry Lane, Laconia, N.H. on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:30AM.
Burial will be at a later date at the family lot in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Augusta, Maine.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospice, 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
