PATRICIA STEVENS TRENT, 82, of Louisville, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at Summerfield Manor.
A member of Mary Queen of Peace (St. Helen) Catholic Church, she was a first grade teacher at the parish school for over 15 years. After her retirement, she continued her service to the church through involvement with the Worship committee, Altar Society, Stewardship committee, and Children’s religious education. Pat enjoyed traveling, visiting with friends, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William Joseph Trent III and her sister, Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Stevens.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Diana Johnson (Rodney), Billy Trent, Laura Coleman (Marty) and John Trent (Maria); nine grandchildren, Amanda Shaw (Shawn), Matthew Johnson (Shauna), Kevin Johnson (Michelle), Ryan Johnson (Kristy), Jacob Coleman, Angel Coleman, Melissa Coleman, Gabrielle Trent, and Julian Trent; seven great grandchildren, Natalie Shaw, Tanner Shaw, McKenna Johnson, Macy Johnson, Megan Johnson, Taylor Johnson and Trent Johnson; and two sisters, Agnes Coomes and Mary Virginia Brown (Litten).
Special thanks to the staff at RIverbend Memory Cottage, Dr. J. Cornett, and staff of the 300 wing at Summerfield Manor for the excellent care that she received.
Her funeral Mass will be 11:00am Saturday, April 14, 2012 at her church, 4005 Dixie Highway with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation from 3 – 8 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Kentucky/Southern Indiana.
