Dorothy A. “Dottie” O'Brien, 91 of Medford, died Monday after a long illness in the Courtyard Nursing Care Center, Medford, MA.
Born in Cambridge, she lived all her life in Medford and was the daughter of the late Florence (Reardon) and John Ritchie.
Dottie was a Homemaker and past President of the Medford V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Beloved wife of the late Leo O’Brien. Devoted mother of Robert O'Brien and his wife Evelyn of Medford. Loving grandmother of Robert and Dana O'Brien, Julie DeSimone and Sandy Benassi. Loving great grandmother of Brianna and Nicholas DeSimone, Julia, Daniel, and David Benassi. Sister of the late Alice McDonald, John and Thomas Ritchie. Aunt of W. Paul White, John McDonald and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
