Helen M. (Pogrelz) Janavicius 96 of Walpole died April 7 in the Harrington House in Walpole. She was the wife of the late Andrew Janavicius.
Born in Norwood, April 17, 1915, the daughter of the late Joseph and May (Eppich) Pogrelz, Mrs. Janavicius was raised in Norwood and lived for most of her life in Walpole. She and her late husband had also lived for 12 years in Bourne.
Mrs. Janavicius had been a clerk at New England Tap Company before retiring. She had previously worked for the E&F King Company.
Helen had been a member of the Walpole Lend a Hand Club and St. George’s Church Sodality.
She enjoyed traveling to New Hampshire and Maine with her husband, crocheting and having all her family at Thanksgiving for the Holiday meal.
She was the sister of the late Frieda Kelley.
She is also survived by her nephews and nieces, David Jansen, Larry Jansen, Barbara Johnson, Ellen Richardson, Jane Hale and Susan Froeliger.
She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday April 12 in the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main St. in Walpole at Noon.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00-Noon.
