Scott E. Read, age 57 of Somerset, passed away on April 6, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Sandra M. (Kot) Read and the son of Clifford Read and the late Laura (Leeman) Read. He was also the stepson of Eleanor Read. Mr. Read worked as a Control Room Engineer for Dominion Power Co. at Brayton Point, Somerset. Scott was an avid golfer & skier. Scott lived life to the fullest and always had a positive attitude even while courageously battling his long illness.
Besides his wife, father, & stepmother all of Somerset, he is survived by his two sons: Jason S. Read of N. Hollywood, CA and Shane C. Read of Los Angeles, CA; his brother: Clifford Read of Westport, sister: Laura Read of Somerset; stepsisters, a stepbrother, and nieces & nephews.
During the last year of his life, Scott was multiply transfused with red blood cells and plateletpheresis.
