McCormick, SC – Freeman Walker, Jr., 71, husband of 17 years to Dr. Shirley A. Quarles, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Lutheran Church by the Lake in McCormick, SC with Pastor James F. Kinsler officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his son, Freeman Walker, III and wife Kimberle’ of Durham, NC, one granddaughter, Taylor Alexandria Walker of Durham, NC, his mother, Minnie L. Walker of Columbus, GA, one sister, Ann P. Martin of Columbus, GA, and a host of nephews and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, April 9, 2012 at the funeral home.
