Doheny, Mary Phyllis, (Morgan), 92, of Plymouth, formerly of Natick, passed away peacefully, at Life Care Center April 7. Wife of the late Edward P. Doheny, she leaves her children Michael Doheny and his wife Anna of Norfolk, MA, Karen McHugh of Falmouth, MA, Katherine Lee and her husband Richard of Ocean Shores, WA, Kristen Walsh of Portland, OR, Phyllis Doheny of Taunton, MA, Peter Doheny and his wife Jeannie of Park Ridge, IL, and Kim Doheny of Buzzards Bay, MA. Sister of William Morgan and his wife Betty of Easton, MA, and Mildred Pettingell and her husband Dick of Orlando, FL. She also leaves 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was born in Newton the daughter of Austin and Marie (Burke) Morgan. Mary grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1937. She enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1943 serving during WWII. Mary worked as a telephone operator for the Alexander Answering Service and was a homemaker raising her large Family. She loved to walk, read and spend time with her grandchildren.
A visiting hour will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home 619 State Road (Rte 3A) Plymouth (Manomet) Tuesday April 10, from 10:30 to 11:30 followed by a funeral mass at St. Bonaventure Parish 803 State Road at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne MA. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Jordan Hospital, 275 Sandwich St. Plymouth, MA 02360, or the Activities Fund at Life Care Center 94 Obery St, Plymouth, MA 02360
