Mrs. Diane Legatos, age 64, a resident of Billerica for forty years formerly of Somerville, passed away on April 6th following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest C. Legatos. Born in Cambridge she was the daughter of Mary (Morelli) Cecere and the late Emanuel Cecere.
Diane was currently employed at Millipore Corp. of Bedford where she worked as a facility manager and has been employed for over twenty years. In her leisure time she enjoyed going to yard sales and taking trips with family and friends to different casinos. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and she especially cherished her time with her two beautiful granddaughters.
In addition to her mother, Diane is survived by her devoted sons, Jason Legatos and Kirk Legatos and his wife Jennifer all of Billerica. She was the loving grandmother of Halle and Alexis. Cherished sister of Angela Molinari and Stephen Cecere both of Billerica. She is also survived by her loving companion Jim Burns of Billerica and is further survived by her niece Pauline Molinari of Billerica.
In keeping with Diane's wishes funeral services will be private. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Diane's memory to the Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA 01854.
