Obituary

WAYLAND: Diane Lee (Brown) Horne, 57, died peacefully under the care and comfort of her family on April 5, 2012 following a brief illness.
She was born in Framingham on December 12, 1954 the daughter of the late Clayton D. Brown Sr. who died in November 1985 and Bertha E. (Chapman) Brown of Wayland.
Besides her mother Bertha E. (Chapman) Brown she is survived by her husband Dennis A. Horne of Wayland. Mother of Dennis A. Horne, Jr. and his wife Penney of Burlington. Sister of Patricia Borelli of Natick and the late Clayton D. Brown, Jr. who died in December 2006. Grandmother of Matthew, Nathan and Aubrey Horne all of Burlington. Sister-in-law of Samantha J. Brown of Vero Beach, FL. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Diane has been a lifelong resident of Wayland and graduated from Wayland High School. For over 20 years prior to her retirement she was associated with the Town of Sudbury School Department at Lincoln-Sudbury High School and the Matron in the maintenance department. She also worked at H.R. Block during tax season. She was a great bargain hunter and also enjoyed spending time fishing on Dudley Pond. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother to her family whom she cherished.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Private services will be held for her family with the Rev. Dr. Bruce A. Pehrson, Pastor of the Community United Methodist Church officiating.
Private family burial will follow in the Brown family lot in Dell Park Cemetery in Natick.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial gifts in Diane’s memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701 or the American Diabetes Assoc., 330 Congress St, 5th floor, Boston, MA 02110.
