Obituary

NATICK: Warren H. Johnson, 88, died peacefully on Thursday, April 5, 2012 following a period of declining health.
He was born in Dorchester on August 10, 1923 the son of the late Ingwell Johnson and Anna (Michaelson) Johnson.
He was the husband of the late Florence R. (Burden) Johnson who died on March 26, 2000. He is survived by his children, Carolyn G. McLaughlin and her husband Patrick of Ashland and Warren H. Johnson, Jr. and his wife Margie of Porter, ME. Sister of Esther Schuler and her husband Rick of San Antonio, TX. Also survived by six grandchildren, Patrick, Amy Jo, Timothy, Stacey, Eric and Michael, six great-grandchildren, Sean, Ben, Anson, Lexi, Sophia and Chiara and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Harriet Newton and Virginia Mitcham.
Warren has been a longtime resident of Natick and graduated from Natick High School. He had a long and distinguished career beginning as a purchasing agent with Ucinite Co of Newton Lower Falls who then merged with TRW of Burlington where he retired as the Vice President of Procurement. For over 20 years he was a square dance caller throughout the MetroWest area. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and in his earlier years, bowling. He loved to be outdoors especially caring for his yard which he maintained with perfection. He will be greatly missed by his family who was the center of his life.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (off Rte 30), Wayland.
His funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by interment in the Johnson family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
