Obituary

Diane E. Luttrell, 52, of Bernon St., Woonsocket, died peacefully on Good Friday, April 06, 2012 at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island in Providence.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Elaine (Bertini) Luttrell. She remained a lifelong resident of Woonsocket.
Diane was a graduate of Woonsocket High School, Class of 1978. In her earlier year she was employed at Bancroft and later worked at Metal Bellows in Sharon, MA as a precision welder for many years.
Diane was a communicant of Precious Blood Church and was active with CYO both at Precious Blood and at the Fr. Marot Center.
She was a noted softball player in her youth and was a staunch fan of “Her” New England Patriots.
Diane had a place in her heart for animals and had a longstanding practice of caring for orphaned animals.
Diane is survived by her sister Donna E. Luttrell of Brooklyn Ctr., Minnesota, and her extended family including her uncle Raymond Barthe of Cumberland, aunts Gloria Morin of Blackstone, and Mary Luttrell of Framingham, MA, and many cousins. She is also survived by her special friend Carol-Ann Handlin of Woonsocket.
Her funeral will be Wednesday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-8 pm.
