Obituary

Thomas P. (Tommy) Lunn, a lifelong resident of Nashville.
Survived by his loving wife Bonnie, daughter Tammie (Danny) Victory of LaVergne, stepchildren Jennifer Deshler of Nashville, Danny (Teresa) Deshler of Gallatin, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Talkin’ Blues Boy” and Aline P. Lunn, brother Robert “Bubba” Lunn, and sister Peggy Smith.
A longtime public servant, Mr. Lunn was an ambulance driver in the 60s, a police officer in the 70s and 80s, and an investigator for the Medical Examiner’s Office in the 90s. Prior to his illness, he was self- employed. A Christian man, he was a member of the Inglewood United Methodist Church, Al Menah Shrine, Jere Baxter-Edgefield Masonic Lodge #254, Scottish Rite, and Cumberland Chapter #1 of the Royal Arch Masons. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, he will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, love of animals, and wonderful sense of humor.
A special thank you must be given here to his loving sister-in-law and caregiver, Raylene Welch. You are truly a blessing from God.
A Masonic service will be held Tuesday, April 10th at 2:00, visitation will follow until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00. Visitation will be 10-2 prior to services.
Tommy will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers: Lonnie Bowden, Chad Cherry, Jerry Inman, Matthew McClanahan, Tony Robinette and Herschel Watson. Favorite Charities: Alive Hospice, Nashville - ASPCA - Humane Society (Nashville Chapter)
