Obituary

Mr. Edward G. Haydon, a longtime resident of Medford and beloved husband of the late Frances (Payne) Haydon died at his home in Medford on Thursday, April 5, 2012. He was 91 years old.
Born in Boston on November 17, 1920, he was the beloved son of the late Krikor and Mary Haidostian. Mr. Haydon was a WWII Army veteran, enlisting at Boston on September 26, 1942 and receiving his honorable discharge from Fort Devens on December 27, 1945. Edward served as Sergeant with the 27th Medical Supply Platoon while in the military. After returning home he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Boston University and went on to work as an Accounts Clerk for more than 25 years in the Insurance Industry.
He is survived by Bert Marian of Addison Maine, Lee Haydon of Mendham, NJ, Rev. Christopher Haydon of Lexington, Julie Ogg of Waltham and Timothy Haydon of Franklin. He also acted as loving uncle to his wife Francis’s four nephews, Toby Marotta of Tucson, AZ, and David, Ralph and Jeff Marotta, all of Winchester.
His funeral service was held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 10 AM. Many relatives were in attendance. Visitation was prior to the service from 9 AM to 10 AM. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. For additional information, please visit, www.magliozzifuneralhome.com.
