Obituary

Ms Sandra M. Turner 58 of Provincetown died unexpectedly on Thursday April 4, 2012, at Seashore Point while recovering from surgery. She was the daughter of Lorraine (Santos) Adams and the late Richard Adams. Ms. Turner was best known for her dedication to the town. At the time of her death she was the Deputy Director of the Department of Public Works in Provincetown. In December of 1986 she began her career as a secretary for the Public Works Department. Throughout her career she continually assumed additional responsibilities and received several promotions. Although born in Massachusetts she had lived in various states due to her father’s military career and later her own military career serving in the Army. She returned to Provincetown in 1986 from Georgia.

Besides her mother she is survived by her two children Michael Turner and his wife Crystal of Aurora, CO, and Christina Enos and her husband Scott of Truro, her two grandsons, Devyn and Kyle Enos and her sister Bonnie Adams Campbell of Tuscon, AZ and several aunts and uncles. She was the sister of the late Cynthia Adams who died in 1996.

A Funeral Mass for Sandy will take place on Tuesday April 10, 2012 at 10:00am in St. Peter the Apostle Church 11 Prince St. Provincetown. Visiting hours are Monday 4-7pm in the Gately-McHoul Funeral Home 94 Harry Kemp Way Provincetown.
