Gertrude Land Graham, 100, of Tifton died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2012, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Elder John Shelton Michael, Elder Paul Thomas and Elder Lee Chambers will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Tim Garrick, Matthew Garrick, Tony Garrick, Mark Garrick, Shane Benson and Chris Bowman will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Henderson, David Clements, Randy Hill, Dicky Hilton, Ricky Benson and Jimmy Benson. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 6, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Graham was born on November 8, 1911 in Tifton and was the daughter of the late Robert Land and Mary Kathryn Walker Land. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd M. Graham; two sisters, Nell K. Daniels and Margaret Archer; and one grandchild. She was retired as an assistant dietician from Tift Regional Medical Center and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. She was a member of Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church and had lived most of her life in Tifton.
Mrs. Graham is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathryn and Carl A. Jackson of Tifton, Bobbie Carolyn Johnson of Tifton and Reba Annette and Thomas Payne of Deltona, Florida; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
