Daytona Beach, FL- Kristina M. (Kausevicius) Zemaitis, 49, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Thursday, Mar. 11, in Florida.
She leaves her lifelong friend and husband of 28 years, Raymond B. Zemaitis; a sister, Irene J. Markevicius, and her husband Edmund J., of Worcester; a niece, Linda M. Aiello of Thomspon, CT; a nephew, Edmund A. Markevicius of Worcester; her mother-in-law, Julia Zemaitis of Oxford; and many dear friends throughout the world. She was born in Shrewsbury, daughter of Alfons A. and Elena (Andriekus) Kausevicius and moved to South Daytona in 1977.
She was a teacher at Bonner Elementary School for 27 years. She touched the lives of generations of children.
Mrs. Zemaitis was a member of the Volusia Teachers Organization, the National Educators Association, and St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Daytona Beach, and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling extensively, television, and fine dining.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 17, in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
