Colvin Adrion Taylor, age 82, died Monday, April 2, 2012 at his home in Water Valley, MS. He was born March 6, 1930 in Lafayette County, MS to the late Colvin Robert and Lottie Thweatt Taylor. Colvin served in the United States Air Force, was a Real Estate Broker in Miami Springs, Florida, and retired as Premium Insurance Examiner (Bureau of Allied Lines) Representative for the Florida State Treasurer and State of Florida Insurance Commissioner. He was hard-working and a loving husband, father and grandfather. Colvin loved the outdoors, golfing and fishing and he especially enjoyed traveling.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 5, 2012 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Rick Glidewell officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Flat Cemetery in Paris, MS.
Colvin is survived by his wife of 64 years, June Edwards Taylor of Water Valley, MS; a daughter, Lisa Curry (Charles) of Monticello, FL; two sons, Garry Taylor (Letty) and Larry Taylor both of Water Valley, MS; one sister, Janice Taylor Berry (Curtis) of Water Valley, MS; seven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Taylor and William (Billy) Taylor.
