Richard A. Joiner, 80, of Clarksville, TN, died on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center. He was born on October 05, 1931 in Bumpus Mills, Tennessee to the late Walter Joiner and Elizabeth Robb Joiner. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Odell Joiner, Frank Joiner, Bill Joiner, Carmen Joiner, and Gordy Joiner; and three sisters, Mae Rogers, Betty Wallace, and Katy Stagner.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 1 PM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 4-7 PM and Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 11 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Richard was a salesman with Colonial Bread Company for 30 years. He was also a US Army Veteran having served in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Imogene Joiner; two step-sons, Robert P. (Elaine) Lane and Darrell W. (Debbie) Lane, II; two daughters, Lana (Andy) Morris and Judy (Brion) Smith; a step-daughter, Sandie (Paul) Dutton; a sister, Beulah Hancock; twelve grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert C. Lane, Zachary Lane, Jacob Lane, Bradley Morris, Scott Thompson, and Wade Cothran.
