Maureen A. Drummond-Ashlock, 54, of Natick, Massachusetts passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center In Boston. She is survived by her three sons: Casey, Tristan, and Andrew, and her ex-husband Alex. She is also survived by her father James Drummond, sisters Peggy, Joan, Mary Pat, Carrie, and a brother James. But there are also numerous other relatives, close friends, and pets who will also miss her very much. Maureen was preceded in death by her mother Kathleen Drummond, whom she missed very much.
Born on January 23, 1958 in Chicago, Maureen was the oldest of her five siblings.
Maureen was always devoted to animals and graduated with a Masters in education from the University of Illinois, where she worked for more than a decade as a veterinary technician at the university's equestrian clinic.
Maureen enjoyed spending time with her children at the stable with her horse Adonis. After relocating to Massachusetts in 1999, Maureen found employment at The Cat's Hospital in Wellesley. During the summer months she enjoyed spending time on the beach in Gloucester with future daughter-in-law, Sarah. In her spare time she also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and hosting holiday gatherings with her children at her home in Natick.
Maureen possessed an infinite patience and will be truly missed by all fortunate enough to know her. There will be a memorial service for her on Wednesday, April 4 at 1:00 P.M. in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St, at Natick Common, Natick MA 01760.
